I've been tailing Edna and Paul for the past 15 minutes waiting for the perfect moment to photograph their wedding day while driving from one venue to the next. They looked so cool in their vintage Mustang convertible. Everyone was driving by and honking at them as a way to congratulate their recent nuptial. This is such a Southern California Style Wedding. :-) I'm glad to be part of their special day.

Edna and Paul Ramirez Wedding
This is a picture I took with my iPhone right before the lovely couple exchange their vows. The St. James Church in Redondo Beach is gorgeous add to the perfect afternoon lighting. I rate this church as one of the best churches to get married.

Amanda & Cris Montoya Wedding
I wasn't feeling well today so our associate photographer Jennifer "pinched-hit" for me working side by side with Brian. I came by later in the afternoon to join the dynamic duo in photographing Amanda and Cris's wedding. Their wedding coordinator Helen Wu did a fantastic job in assisting the lovely couple with their choice of venue at the Church of Our Saviour in San Gabriel, CA. This church had the right amount of ambiance to make their wedding ceremony extra special.
We then headed out to LA River Center and Garden for their reception. This place is magnificent as it's decorated with beautiful greeneries. We couldn't be happier to be part of Amanda and Cris's special day . Here's a sneak peek of their wedding images. Enjoy and turn up the volume. :-)
Here's what Amanda and Cris have to say about Tiamo Photography, LLC.

It's a beautiful sunny Southern California day today and why not? It's Jennifer and Michael's big day. Allen and I have been looking forward to photography our lovely couple for more than a year now. We did their engagement photos last year at our favorite beach location. We had many awesome images. Today is no exception as we capture our lovely couples' special day. Here's a sneak peek of their wedding images.
Here's a brief comment from Jennifer and Michael about their wedding photographers.

Huimin Zhang and Shawn Call Wedding
I flew into SeaTac Airport early this morning from Ontario Airport. I'm not usually a morning person, but today it was different. I was looking forward to photograph Huimin and Shawn for a number of weeks now. It was a beautiful day with blue sunny skies and warm comfortable temperature. Bascially, a recipe of a perfect day. And why not, it's Huimin and Shawn's wedding day. :-)
Here's a sneak peak of some of their wedding images.
And here's what the lovely couple have to say about me at the end of the day. Turn up the volume for this one. :-)

Jeanine and John Paul Zimmerman Wedding Preview

Allen and I had the pleasure of photographing Jeanine and John Paul's wedding today. Needless to say Jeanine was radiant in her magnificent gown with a long flowing vail. He looked so debonair in his tux. They are such a lovely and photogenic couple. I wish them many happy years together. Here are some of the photos of today's wedding at the Mission Inn located in Riverside, CA.

Nathalie and Ronald Zuletta
I heard the bad news today. I know you guys are going through some rough times. I'm sure that you'll pull through the trials and tribulations. I still remember on December 3rd of last year, you guys were so happy during your engagement photo session. (please see previous post in the archive). Furthermore, you were so happy on your beautiful wedding day on February 17th of this year.
I wish you guys the best. Trust in Him and all will be well in the end. Godspeed.

Eunice & Sheldon Butler Wedding
I have the pleasure of photographing Eunice and Sheldon's wedding today at the St. Bede Catholic Church. She's so beautiful in her gown, and Sheldon looked so handsome in his tux. It couldn't hurt that both of them are very photogenic. I love photogenic couples. It makes my job so much easier.
Their bridal party was a "hoot". Needless to say I had a wonderful time documenting their special day on digital film. I can tell that they are so much in love. Sheldon kept telling me Eunice has such a big heart that she's so nice to everyone. It's the one thing that really moved him.
During the reception, Eunice's father, Eryl Buan, made a speech to toast the happy couple. With regards to Eunice as his only daughter, he said he can safely say that she's his favorite daughter, and Sheldon is his favorite son-in-law... unless, one of his sons bring home a son-in-law to be. That brought the crowd with a roaring laughter.
He also added that Sheldon inadvertently paid him the ultimate compliment by saying he wants to raise their children just like the way Eunice was raised. If you think about it... when you found the perfect soul-mate, you'd find that they are perfect in every way. Why wouldn't you want your children to be like that as well. Of course, when Mr. Buan said that, he brought many teary eyes. He sure knew how to entertain a crowd, and bring them to tears as well.
All I can say is, I had a lot of fun and it's such a blessing to be among these great people and be an integral part of their wedding. Wishing Eunice and Sheldon long and happy life together!

The Most Popular Wedding Date of the Century 7-7-07
Today is the most popular wedding date of the 21st Century... at least for the non-Chinese families. We Chinese like the number 8. So, next year 8-8-08 (Friday) would be swarming with Chinese couples trying to get married on that date. It should be good business opportunity for me if I try really hard to target the Asian couples who are getting married.
Actually, I might not be available that day next year, as I might be planning on getting married with Lan on that day as well. She's such a great person and I'm so happy to have her in my life. She's very generous with everyone else except for herself. She's always thinking of me and for me. I love her so much.

Today is Fanny & Sian's One Year Wedding Anniversary
Here's a slideshow of their wedding album. The music is by Celine Dion's Colour of my Heart. It happens to be Sian's favorite singer and he used this song to propose to Fanny, and it as their theme song at their wedding. Enjoy.

Martha and Greg's Wedding
Today started just like most wedding days. Brian usually follows the guys and since they get dressed faster (sorry girls), Brian usually takes them anywhere the guys want even if it means bending the rules (ahem...the law) a little. The groom wanted to have their pictures taken by the Angels Stadium. While at the stadium an opportunity arose that could not be passed up....
They pretended to be another wedding party by telling the receptionist that they were there for the Wilhelm Wedding Party and they were let into the Stadium. Brian began shooting and it didn't take long for security to catch on their charade and kick them out.

Meanwhile Terry and I were at the Church taking pictures of the lovely Bride to be and her bridesmaids. I really love shooting natural lighting with the 50mm f1.2 and 85mm f1.2 lenses, it allows us to capture raw emotions without the distractions of our flashes going off. We were able to blurr out the distracting background and focused on our subject (the bride) because these lenses provide severe depth of field.

The time flew by fast and it was time for the ceremony, I can't believe how beautiful the Church was. We really had a great time and as always we are blessed that we had the opportunity to be apart of your special day.

Road Trip: WPPI with my partners
I got up at 5AM this morning after working until 11PM last night. Why so early? I had to drive to Allen's house by 6AM for a one day road trip to WPPI with him and Brian. Needless to say, the traffic was still horrible at this awful hour. There was a fatality at the exit I'm supposed to get off to Allen's house. Anyway, I was 30 minutes late and Brian was wondering where the heck were we?
We promptly drove as fast as possible to Brian's house after getting coffee for Allen. We finally took off around 7AM from Brian's house which is only about 2 1/2 hours to Vegas. After breakfast at Barstow, Brian's Volvo blew out the front right tire tearing up the entire tire, wheelwell, and his signal light. It was pretty strange that we didn't hear a loud pop at all. The reason is that his tires were so worned out that it had no tread and it was ready to go at any time.
We finally arrived to Las Vegas with his baby spare tire going at 60mph. A very nice gentleman by the name of TC who works for the NV Sheriff's Dept. kindly offer us a ride to Bally's from the tire place because it would take 2 hours to fix 2 tires. On the way, we discussed about having children and how you can't own anything nice any more. He drove us in a once nice/new limited edition 4 Runner but his kids trashed his truck. We offered to pay him for troubling him to drive us to Bally's but he refused. He wins the Good Samaritan Award in my book. Thanks TC!

Nathalie and Ronald Zuletta Engagement Photos
I had the pleasure of photographing Nathalie and Ronald Zulette today at the famous USC Campus. Even though USC was upset by the Bruins yesterday, things are quite quiet on campus. We had a great shoot because they are such a lovely couple and so photogenic.
How they found me is through their brother-in-law Terry Chan! Yes, there's another Terry Chan out there and he was my client. They were so happy with my wedding photography service for Terry, they decided to hire me as well for their wedding in Feb 17, 2007.
They actually hired another wedding photographer but she filed bankruptcy and had to give them bad news late November. Needless to say they also lost their deposit with her. When I heard that, I thought "WOW!". I never thought that a wedding photographer can do something like that. It had not occurred to me that our clients put a lot of trust into us when they signed the check and on the dotted line.
Well, all I can say is that it's unfortunate that it happened to these nice people. I'm looking forward to photographing them because they are so photogenic together, and they are such nice people. I enjoy my work so much more when I'm working with nice people. After all, I'll be spending many hours with them. That's always a bonus for me. :-)
